Grandpa Lim, alongside his devoted wife, Grandma Lim, built a life of prosperity as successful entrepreneurs in Vietnam. Together, they raised a large family of 13 children—3 daughters and 10 sons. As the matriarch of the family, Grandma Lim was the heart of their home, nurturing and guiding their children through life’s challenges. When the Vietnam War erupted, the couple faced the devastating loss of nearly everything they had built. With courage and unity, they made the difficult decision to leave their homeland and seek a new beginning.
They relocated their family to Los Angeles, California, with most of their children joining them, while the eldest child (daughter) ventured to Vancouver, Canada. Despite the hardships of starting over in a foreign country, Grandpa and Grandma Lim remained steadfast in their commitment to providing a better life for their family. Together, they witnessed the birth of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, watching their family’s legacy grow and flourish in a land of freedom and opportunity. Their strength, love, and resilience laid the foundation for generations to come.
